Boxing Canada offers the following NCCP workshops:
Apprentice Coach: Designed to help coaches assist boxers in the early stages of their competitive careers, this workshop focuses on basic techniques and tactical principles that every beginner boxer should learn and master. This 12-hour workshop also covers key rules of amateur boxing, fundamental ring craft principles, guidelines for gym equipment usage, as well as basic methods to improve motor abilities for athletes aged 6 to 12.
Club Coach: Built upon what is covered in the Apprentice Coach workshop, coaches will continue to assist boxers in the early stages of their competitive career, but focus more on performance, intermediate ring craft principles, tactics, and intermediate methods for improving skills and techniques. During the 13 hours of in-class and in the gym practice, coaches will learn how to apply teaching principles and methodology when coaching athletes aged 6 to 16.
