What is RSS?
RSS is a three letter abbreviation that stands for Really Simple Syndication, Rich Site Summary or RDF Site Summary. It is a XML-based system that allows users to subscribe to data feeds, such as CBC.ca Top Headlines using a news reader. Now you can get the CAC RSS Feed.


What is a news reader?
RSS/News Readers (also called Aggregators) download and display RSS feeds. If you're using the latest version of Internet Explorer, Thunderbird (e-mail), Firefox (web browser), Opera, or Apple's Safari, then you already have an RSS news reader.

Many free news readers can be downloaded and installed on your computer.  Here are some examples:
