Career Accomplishments

  • Past coaching experience with the Canadian Women’s National Team coach for 16 years, total of 192 games (Head Coach 2001-2012 for 184 games), University of Oregon (2001-2005; 2002 WNIT Champions), Simon Fraser University (Career coaching record of 363-79 from 1988-89 to 2000-01), and the Canadian Junior National Team (Head Coach, 1998 – 2000). 
  • Coached at the 2012 London Olympic Games (1st Team Canada Olympic appearance in 12 years), 2006 and 2012 FIBA World Championships (First time Canada had qualified in 12 years), 2007 Pan American Games, Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) Championships, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Championships (11 consecutive appearances with 10 Conference Championship wins). 
  • Inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame (2016), Basketball BC Hall of Fame (2013), and Simon Fraser University Hall of Fame (2012).  
  • Other accomplishments include: Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2013), and the Geoff Gowan Award recognizing lifetime contribution to coaching development (2011).
