Career Accomplishments

  • Past coaching experience as Queen’s University Men’s Volleyball Head Coach with six Ontario Championship Titles (1987-2018), Assistant Coach of Team Canada Men’s National B Team (2002), and Coach at Ontario Volleyball High Performance Centre (24 years) 
  • Coached at the Canada Games (1993 Gold), Canada Games (1989 Bronze), Canada Games (1987 4th), Canada Games Mission Staff (1997), and the World Maccabiah Games (2009 Bronze & 2013 Silver) 
  • 10 years as President of Ontario Volleyball (1999-2009), 17 years as OVA Coaching Chair 
  • Inducted into the Ontario Volleyball Hall of Fame in the Legends category (2015), and the Kingston Sports Hall of Fame (2014) 
  • Other accomplishments include: 6-time OUA Men’s Volleyball Coach of the Year, Ontario Volleyball Association Coach of the Year (1994), Jule Nisse – Rolf Lund Award for Lifetime Achievement in Playground to Podium sport (2007), and John McManus Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Values and Ethics in OUA Sport (2018) 
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics, NCCP Level Four Certified, NCCP Master Learning Facilitator and Master Coach Evaluator
