Virtual SLS21 Theme Announced; Call for Content Open
The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) has made the decision to proceed with a virtual 2021 Petro-Canada™ Sport Leadership sportif Conference (SLS21) and Sport Leadership Awards Gala. Given the ongoing uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, shifting priorities of the sport community, and the success of SLS20 hosted in a virtual environment, we feel this is the right decision for the CAC, our partners, and our delegates.
Originally scheduled to take place at the Westin Ottawa, we want to thank our partners at the Westin and Ottawa Tourism for their understanding and ongoing support.
The theme for the 2021 Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference is Let’s Reignite Sport.
Through a year of unpredictable hardships, the sport community has demonstrated its resiliency by facing each challenge with courage. In a time when our primary shared experience has been isolation, we have witnessed the community come together more than ever in an effort to support one another. We have been united in an unrelenting pursuit of solutions to preserve and ultimately improve sport’s impact in and for Canada.
For sport to return better and stronger than before, we must maintain a people-first approach to wellness, strong attention to inclusive practices, and sustainable, innovative business strategies. Through a series of engaging keynote presentations and breakout sessions, delegates will be encouraged to celebrate the successes, grieve the hardships, and develop the wisdom needed to continue this inspiring transformation in the face of disruption. SLS21 promises to:

Educate delegates through collaborative and quality breakout sessions with tangible takeaway skills;

Inspire delegates with topical and respected keynote speakers;

Unite colleagues from sport organizations and energize and broaden potential networks of interest; and

Recognize and celebrate Canada’s top coaches at the Petro-Canada Sport Leadership Awards Gala.
At SLS21, we invite you to connect with the sport community for three days of reflection, healing, celebration, and growth.
