Christine Sinclair, Vikram Vij, Tyler Jordan Headline Robust Program

Ottawa, ON (September 6, 2016) – Innovative leaders from British Columbia’s business, culinary, and sport industries will join the impressive lineup of speakers at the 2016 Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference this November 3-5 in Richmond, BC. Registration is now open to delegates interested in attending the three day conference which centres on the theme of inclusivity and diversity. From Social Media Insights, Diverse Hiring Practices, to Evolving Coaching Practices, this year’s conference program ensures there is relevant content to engage every delegate.

The 2016 conference will showcase many homegrown speakers, including keynotes from Olympic bronze medallist Burnaby-native Christine Sinclair and local chef and entrepreneur Vikram Vij.

“Food is like sport. It brings people together no matter what their differences, no matter where their allegiances lie. I’m honoured to be participating in this event, which will do even more to bring people together and promote healthy leadership in the future," said Mr. Vij.

ViaSport Chief Executive Officer Sheila Bouman will also lead an all-BC panel discussion on executive leadership with an innovative group of change makers, including Tyler Jordan, President and CEO of 7mesh Industries Inc. (previously CEO of Arc’teryx) and Tom Waller, Senior Vice President of Whitespace (innovation and R&D) at lululemon athletica.

The culture of BC will be felt beyond just the stage. Conference delegates will receive complimentary access to the Richmond Olympic Oval fitness facilities for the duration of the event, and will experience the Richmond Olympic Experience (ROX) as part of the conference Welcome Reception.
