Twenty Team Canada athletes are continuing to grow their leadership and explore coaching through the NCCP Coach Education Grant, delivered in partnership with the Coaching Association of Canada.
The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is proud to announce the launch of the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions (MED) eLearning module. As a cornerstone of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), Make Ethical Decisions equips coaches with the tools to navigate ethical situations with confidence, integrity, and accountability. The new eLearning module brings together both training and evaluation into a single, streamlined experience, providing a more accessible and consistent way for coaches across Canada to develop this essential competency.

OTTAWA, ON (March 8, 2026) – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) celebrates International Women’s Day (IWD) by acknowledging the achievements of women who have continued to push for meaningful change in their community. IWD recognizes the progress women have made to challenge bias and underrepresentation in their respective fields. The CAC’s High Performance Women in Coaching Mentorship Program responds to the need to create spaces of empowerment and knowledge-sharing for women in coaching. Most recently, 18 mentees and 10 mentors participated in the 2024-25 High Performance Women in Coaching Mentorship Program.

This historic milestone marks the first time a woman has held this position since ICCE’s founding in 1997.

This year’s honourees include Andrzej Sadej for his lifelong contributions to Para Judo and high-performance coaching, Joe Cecchini for guiding the youngest-ever female world champion in skeleton, Karol Sauvé for his leadership in coach development, Baseball Canada’s Women in Coaching Program for its groundbreaking support of female coaches, and 67 coaches with the Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence Awards.
