Ottawa, ON – April 14, 2026 — The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is proud to announce the launch of the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions (MED) eLearning module.

As a cornerstone of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), Make Ethical Decisions equips coaches with the tools to navigate ethical situations with confidence, integrity, and accountability. The new eLearning module brings together both training and evaluation into a single, streamlined experience, providing a more accessible and consistent way for coaches across Canada to develop this essential competency.

Each year, more than 25,000 coaches complete MED training, online evaluation, or both. This new format reflects the evolving needs of coaches, offering flexible, self-paced learning that can be completed anytime, anywhere.

Canada’s coaches often volunteer or work in more than one sport, and this module creates a straightforward training that can be applied across all of their coaching roles.  Combined with a flexible format, the module offers training in the growing preference for accessible eLearning that fits within coaches’ schedules.

“The launch of the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions eLearning module represents an important step forward in how we support coaches across Canada,” said Lorraine Lafrenière, Chief Executive Officer of the Coaching Association of Canada. “We are making it easier for coaches to build the skills they need to lead with integrity.”

NCCP Make Ethical Decisions is one part of a broader suite of NCCP multi-sport training modules designed to support coaches through their development. Coaches are encouraged to continue their learning through additional training, including modules such as NCCP Creating a Positive Sport Environment, as well as sport-specific ethics training offered through their sport organizations.
