OTTAWA, ON (August 25, 2026) – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026-2027 EDI Grant Program, powered by MONDO.
The CAC is dedicated to providing opportunities for coaches in the CAC’s Priority Groups, which include women, visible minorities, persons with disabilities, Indigenous Peoples, and people who identify with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The CAC EDI Grant Program, powered by MONDO, provides funding to sport organizations to support programs that increase the diversity of the coaching population in Canada and create inclusive and accessible sport environments.
Since 2024, the grant, has supported sport organizations working to increase the diversity of coaches and create more inclusive, accessible sport environments across Canada. MONDO’s support strengthened the program’s reach and impact, enabling greater investment in EDI‑focused initiatives across the Canadian sport system.
The CAC is pleased to announce the 2026-2027 recipients who will each receive $1,500 in funding to support their program:
Archery Canada: Adaptive Archery Coaching Development
Broomball Canada: New Learning Facilitator training in Indigenous Quebec Communities
Canadian Fencing Federation: Passing the Point: Female Coaches in Canadian Fencing Mentorship Program
CSI Atlantic: Road to NAIG 2028
Curling Saskatchewan: The Extra End - Wheelchair Curling Sport Development
NWT Speed Skating: Coach Mentee for 2027 NWT Championships and 2027 Canadian Youth Short Track Championships – West
Rugby Canada: Women in Coaching Mentorship Program - BIPOC Focus
