Ottawa, ON (April 22, 2026) The CAC is proud to celebrate the incredible work of 10 sport organizations across Canada, each one driving change through EDI grants, powered by MONDO

Sport NB, based in New Brunswick, was one of the recipients awarded an EDI grant in 2025 to integrate school programming, women's coach leadership, and the local Francophone basketball club to grow bilingual coaching capacity in NB basketball.

This initiative resulted in twenty female athletes achieving certification, strengthening Francophone coaching pathways and reducing linguistic barriers.

Looking ahead, Sport NB plans to build on this momentum by expanding the program, delivering MED earlier, providing ongoing mentorship, supporting a new Learning Facilitator, and reinforcing community and PSO partnerships to ensure sustainable, inclusive coach and athlete development for Francophone youth.
