OTTAWA, ON (May 1, 2026) – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is proud to continue its partnership with MONDO, an internationally renowned company dedicated to engineering high-performance flooring solutions for athletes worldwide, for the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Grant Program.
The CAC EDI Grant Program, powered by MONDO, supports projects that increase the diversity of coaches in Canada and contribute to creating inclusive and accessible sport environments. Grant recipients will receive up to $1,500 to support their project and must contribute a minimum of $500 to the project. The 2026-27 program marks the third year of MONDO’s support for the impactful initiative.
“Thanks to the support of MONDO, the CAC can enable sport organizations to strengthen inclusive coaching practices that build stronger communities and provide coach development opportunities that better support athletes and participants across the country.” - Isabelle Cayer, Executive Director, Coaching Programs and Partnerships
Sport organizations eligible to apply for a grant include National Sport Organizations (NSOs), Provincial/Territorial Coaching Representatives (P/TCRs), and Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Organizations (COPSI Network). Provincial/Territorial Sport Organizations (P/TSOs) may also apply with the endorsement of or in partnership with their respective NSO.
“I want to extend my appreciation to the CAC and MONDO for their support, which made it possible to deliver both the Broomball to Compete workshop and the Learning Facilitator training in Grand Falls, Windsor, NL. This workshop marked an important milestone; it was the first coaching workshop of its kind in our province. As one of two women completing the Learning Facilitator training, I am proud to help lay the foundation for future coaching development and long-term growth of broomball in Newfoundland and Labrador. This initiative has helped reduce barriers to coach education and will continue to strengthen the development of our sport.” -Ashley Melbourne, Learning Facilitator in Training
The deadline to apply for the 2026-27 program is June 30, 2026.
