OTTAWA (March 9, 2020) – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is pleased to announce that Isabelle Cayer has been promoted to the position of Director, Sport Safety, effective March 1, 2020.
As a member of the CAC's Senior Management Team, Isabelle provides leadership and expertise in the areas of Safe Sport, Chartered Professional Coaching, and the Responsible Coaching Movement. She is also responsible for helping the CAC identify and deliver safe sport training, policies, and processes to sport organizations so as to build a safe sport environment for participants, coaches, and parents across Canada.
"Isabelle is well-respected within the sport community in Canada and well-positioned to apply her knowledge and expertise to advance Sport Safety," said Lorraine Lafrenière, Chief Executive Officer of the CAC. "She brings to the position extensive coaching experience, program and project management expertise, and strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Congratulations on this well-deserved promotion."
Isabelle previously held the role of Manager, Diversity and Inclusion at the CAC. In this role, she shaped the organization's overall Diversity and Inclusion strategy, led the development of its programs, research, and policy work, and raised the awareness of the importance of diversity and inclusion within the sport community in Canada.
