OTTAWA, June 1, 2020 – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) today announced the appointment of Allen McKeown as Director of Innovation & Business Enablement, effective immediately.
As a member of the CAC’s Senior Management Team, Allen will lead and oversee the CAC’s technology platform, define its data management governance, develop new customer-centric solutions, and further strengthen relationships with CAC partners.
“We’re thrilled to have an IT leader of Allen’s calibre join our team,” says Lorraine Lafrenière, CEO of the CAC. “Allen is a dynamic innovator, effective collaborator, and systems thinker with the proven ability to build productive relationships within and across organizations.”
Allen and the IT Team will deliver on technology and process innovation supporting:
- New product and service offering development
- Continued delivery and support of high-quality coach education
- Coaches and sport partners in developing participants in Canada
Allen comes to the CAC having built a successful 20-year career focusing on business partner engagement and analysis, informatics, pro-serv, governance / compliance, communications and corporate leadership in organizations including Canopy Growth Corp., CRA, HPE, Algonquin College, Calian, and professional consulting pursuits.

Allen holds a B.Sc. in Business Management from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also an active volunteer, and has had an incredible time with Scouts Canada, Ottawa Kids of Steel, Kiwanis 211 Air Cadet Squadron as well as many fund-raising activities through his musical pursuits.
