Ottawa, March 23 – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) today voiced its support of the decision of the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Committees not to send Canadian teams to the Olympics in Tokyo this summer.
“The CAC supports the decision of the COC and CPC not to send teams to Tokyo,” said Lorraine Lafrenière, Chief Executive Officer of the CAC. “We recognize that these are challenging times for coaches and athletes alike. At the same time, combatting the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic is larger than sport and we all must do our part to protect the health and safety of everyone.“
