2015 Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif Conference

(Ottawa, November 5) – The Coaching Association of Canada is proud to host the 2015 Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference in Winnipeg, from November 12-14.

WHAT
The Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference is Canada’s conference for coaches, researchers, sport executives, and administrators. It consists of three full days of learning, professional development, and networking with the top minds and leaders of the Canadian sport, business, and education communities. The 2015 Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference will be held at the RBC Convention Centre and Delta Winnipeg.

Highlights of the conference include:

  • Keynote by inspirational speaker and Eco-Challenge participant Yvonne Camus – 12:00 noon, Thursday, November 12th;
  • “Unlocking your True North, Moving from Normal to Abnormal” presentation by John Herdman, Head Coach of the Women’s National Soccer Team – 1:30pm, Thursday, November 12th;
  • Plenary session & breakfast with former NHL Coach of the Year Ted Nolan, President, Ted Nolan Foundation – 8:00am, Friday, November 13th;
  • “The Sum of Many Parts: The Story of True North Sports & Entertainment” with John Olfert, Executive Vice President & COO, True North Sports & Entertainment Limited – 9:30am, Friday, November 13th; 
  • “The Canada Games: A Leadership Perspective” with Jeff Hnatiuk (2017 Canada Games), Chris Morrissey (2007 and 2011 Canada Games), Lynn Blouin (2013 Canada Games) and Anthony Everett (2015 Canada Games) – 11:30am Friday, November 13th;
  • Petro-Canada Sport Leadership Awards Gala – Reception 6pm, Gala 7:00pm: Friday, November 13th;
  • Women in Sport Leadership session with Jennifer Botterill, Broadcaster and three-time Olympic Gold Medalist – 9:00am, Saturday, November 14th; and
  • All-Manitoba panel discussion with national team coaches Derek Ingram (Golf Canada), Bill Johnson (Wheelchair Basketball Canada), and Janet Arnott (Curling Canada) – 10:45am, Saturday, November 14th.
