OTTAWA (November 8, 2023) – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is pleased to announce that the city of Regina has been selected to host the 2024 Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference (SLS24), which will take place from November 14-15, 2024, at the Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL). The REAL operates the largest interconnected event complex in Canada. The Petro-Canada Sport Leadership Awards Gala will be held on November 15th at the Regina Delta Hotel.

The Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference is Canada’s largest conference for coaches, researchers, sport executives, and administrators. It consists of two days of learning, professional development, and networking with the top minds and leaders of the sport, business, and education communities in Canada. With a focus on professional development, networking, and the exchange of best practices, the conference serves as a vital platform for coaches, administrators, and executives to stay at the forefront of the dynamic sports landscape.

The CAC is excited to bring the Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference to Regina for the first time, showcasing the city's passion for sports and its warm hospitality.

“We are thrilled to bring sport leaders from across the country to Regina to learn, network and celebrate Canada’s great coaches.” says Lorraine Lafrenière, CEO of the CAC.

"We are delighted to have the honour of hosting the Coaching Association of Canada and sport leaders from across the country in 2024,” said Tracy Fahlman, President & CEO of The Regina Hotel Association and Events Regina. “Located in the heartbeat of the new prairie economy, Regina has emerged as an event powerhouse, and is deeply rooted in a community that wholeheartedly champions events at all levels.  We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to shine a spotlight on our community, exemplify our collaborative spirit, and extend our warm prairie hospitality to delegates next year.”

This annual conference would not be possible without the support of the CAC’s long-standing partnership with Petro-Canada.

“For 20 years running, we are the proud title sponsor of the Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference, whose participants work passionately and collaboratively to strengthen sport in Canada and set the stage for continued success,” says Patrick Ritchie, VP of Sales & Marketing for Petro-Canada.
