The Coaching Association of Canada organized a school tour that included a presentation at West Van Secondary school in Vancouver on October 12, 2023. The panel of speakers featured Alex Hodgins, Mental Performance Consultant, Stephanie Labbé, Olympic Champion and General Manager of women’s soccer at the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, along with Kevin Bowie, Manager, Sport Development at viaSport.
Through the school tour, the CAC embarked on a mission to raise awareness about the Mental Health and Sport project and its impact on the community, give students the opportunity to hear sport leaders share their lived experiences, and highlight the vital role of mental health in sports.
