OTTAWA (May 17, 2018) – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Donnison as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective May 31, 2018. A strategic and proven leader from the not-for-profit sector, Donnison brings strong business and financial acumen, along with executive operations experience to his new role at the CAC. He joins the CAC following a 13-year tenure with Canadian Blood Services, where he fulfilled the roles of Senior Executive Director of Transfusable Products, as well as Vice-President, Donor Relations.
“It is a significant move to recruit Mark into Canada's coaching education and development mandate,” said Lorraine Lafrenière, Chief Executive Officer of the Coaching Association of Canada. “He brings tremendous leadership skills, strategic operations experience, and talent to drive transformational change which will be an asset to the future productivity of the CAC.”
A visionary leader and experienced business operations professional, Donnison is known for successfully engaging employees and stakeholders throughout transformational changes to deliver results. As Vice-President, Donor Relations, for Canadian Blood Services, his responsibilities focused on leading the organization’s donor management activities, as well as strategic and financial operations including human resource management, government relations, and operational planning. With honed skills in project management, Mark championed transformational projects at Canadian Blood Services and successfully drove digital adoption across large scale areas of the business.
Mark holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from Concordia University and also brings strategic marketing and sales management experience to the Chief Operating Officer role. In his new role at the CAC, he will play an integral role in shaping the organization’s strategic vision, while optimizing its resources to achieve operational goals and objectives.
