March 1, 2023 - OTTAWA, ON - NCCP Advanced Coaching Diploma graduation attests to the sport community and others in the field that a coach has demonstrated a high potential to lead, problem solve, interact and critically reflect to implement effective sport programming.
The program has recently been revised to continue to ensure quality learning and reduce barriers related to accessibility, cost and time. The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is committed to supporting coaches who are working to achieve a standard of excellence in their profession.
“We are very proud of the revisions that were made to the ACD. In line with all other NCCP training, the revisions were conducted through collaboration between multiple major sport stakeholders and experts in Canada. The program offers research based, cutting-edge content to support coaching practices. The new structure will allow more coaches from all across Canada to access the program and increase confidence in advanced sport coaching practices,” says Marie-Pier Charest, Coaching Consultant, Research at Coaching Association of Canada.
The NCCP Advanced Coaching Diploma helps coaches prepare athletes for podium success at the Provincial, National and International level. This flexible and cutting-edge one-year program allows coaches to connect and learn from experienced mentors, content experts, fellow coaches, and respected partners across Canada. The content helps coaches enhance competencies and apply learnings in their specific coaching context to implement a safe and successful sport program.
