Paul Godfrey latest speaker confirmed for Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif 2011

The Coaching Association of Canada is proud to announce that Paul Godfrey, President and CEO for Postmedia Network Inc., has just confirmed his attendance at the 2011 Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference. Mr. Godfrey will speak to the best and brightest minds in Canadian sport on the importance of good governance.

Prior to joining the Postmedia Network, Mr. Godfrey served as CEO of the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club, and spent 16 years with Sun Media Corporation, eventually taking the role of President and CEO. He has a proud record of public service including a record four terms (11 years) as the Chairman of the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto.

Mr. Godfrey joins an impressive line-up of speakers for the conference which includes: legendary NFL coach Don Shula, top athletics coach Frank Dick, Alon Marcovici – VP Consumer Sales & Marketing for the Globe and Mail, and world-renowned sport scientists like Inigo Mujika, Penny Werthner, Shona Halson and Gord Sleivert.

The 2011 Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference takes place from November 10 to 12 at Toronto’s landmark hotel - the Fairmont Royal York, and brings together over 600 leaders in Canadian sport. Discounted rates at the hotel are only available until October 14 and the conference is expected to sell out by October 31st.
