April 22, 2016

Ottawa, Ontario (April 22, 2016) – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) and TeamSnap, the leading tool for organizing and communicating every aspect of active sports life, are pleased to announce an extension of their partnership in support of coaches across Canada. In addition to their continued involvement with National Coaches Week, TeamSnap is now a CAC National Corporate Partner and a presenting partner of the #CoachToolKit initiative.

“We are thrilled to expand our existing relationship with TeamSnap after the inaugural National Coaches Week was such a great success,” said Lorraine Lafrenière, Chief Executive Officer of the CAC. “We recognize how important a volunteer coach’s time is to the sport community, and together with TeamSnap, we look forward to continuing to develop tools that continue to support their practice.”

Ten million coaches, administrators, players, and parents use TeamSnap to make organizing sports as simple as click, tap, and go. Since the company was founded in 2009, TeamSnap has been used to schedule 7.2 million games for 800,000 teams across 83 types of sports and groups. The TeamSnap iOS and Android native mobile apps are a particular hit with almost 2 million downloads.

“The power of community and team spirit are near and dear to the creators of TeamSnap, so we are proud to support the CAC’s mission of encouraging and supporting community coach volunteers,” said Ken McDonald, TeamSnap Chief Growth Officer. “We look forward to continuing our support of Canada’s coaches and the sport community as a whole.”
