Our canoe-kayak coaches (at the Global Coaches House) that are part of the ACE program had the opportunity to see Adam Van Koeverden and Mark Oldershaw race to their medals at the Eton Dorney stadium. One of their tasks is to film the probable competition of their young athletes as part of their four year plan for 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
We have many great presenters at the Global Coaches House, I particularly liked Eddy Jones’s presentation on his experience taking over the National Japan Rugby Team. He was very detailed in his GAP analysis. The GCH was an excellent place to expand my network; I had many good discussions with presenters, coaches, researchers and HP experts. They will be emailing me references, assessment tools and invitations to up coming events.

The atmosphere in London is amazing with Team Great Britain doing so well in the medal race. The GCH is a great place to do a little high performance espionage. I’m pretty successful in getting info but sometimes they are a little protective of their programs as you can see in the following picture.

This was a wonderful experience and I encourage coaches to take part in any future GCH events.
