The Canadian Lacrosse Association (CLA) and the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) have joined forces to make it easier to become a trained National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) lacrosse coach.
Every aspect of NCCP for lacrosse – from the copywriting, to the design, to an interactive coaching tool on the CLA website – has been redeveloped with one goal in mind: to encourage more coaches to participate in training to become NCCP certified. All of these new resources put together will make it much easier for lacrosse coaches to find the NCCP courses that are right for them, and to plan their ongoing training.
“Making it easier to become a trained coach is what these resources are all about,” stated Nancy Spotton, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at the CAC. “Trained coaches create better athletes and happier kids that will stay involved in sport longer and lead active, healthy lives. Ensuring that all of the information available to coaches is clear and consistent makes this process that much easier.”
“The CLA and its partners are thrilled with these new resources,” said Ross Ste-Croix, the CLA’s Program Coordinator. “We have such a great collection of coaches and potential coaches out there and it’s important to us that they be able to navigate their way through the NCCP as seamlessly as possible. This will allow them to spend more time focusing on what they do best: coaching. We owe many thanks to the CAC and their team for the tremendous work on this project.”
