EMBRACING CANADA’S POTENTIAL: What’s your piece to play?

As part of Canada’s Year of Sport, the 2015 conference will explore the unique role each of us plays in fostering and embracing Canada’s sport leadership potential. “The theme of this year’s conference reflects the success Canada’s has had this past year in hosting world-class events like the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the Pan Am/Parapan Am Games”, said Lorraine Lafrenière, Chief Executive Officer of the CAC.

Confirmed keynote speakers so far include: John Herdman, ChPC, Head Coach of the Canadian Women’s Soccer Team, Jennifer Botterill, Broadcaster and three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, and John Furlong, CEO of Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. “Plus, the CAC is putting some of Canada’s best coaches and leaders in the hot seat for engaging panel discussions and a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to create success on and off the field of play”, added Ms. Lafrenière.

In addition, another highlight of the conference is the celebration of Canada’s most dedicated, inspiring, and successful coaches at the annual Petro-Canada Sport Leadership Awards Gala.
