Coaching Association of Canada Welcomes Sudeshna Nambiar as Chief Operating Officer

OTTAWA (January 11, 2023) -- The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sudeshna Nambiar as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective October 11, 2022.

Sudeshna Nambiar headshotNambiar brings with her over 20 years of experience in the multi-national corporate world and in hospitality, with in-depth experience in transforming and rebuilding operations in the banking, insurance, hospitality, and food production industries. 

“I am grateful that Sudeshna has joined the CAC Team. er expertise and leadership at the executive level in large-scale performing organizations will contribute to CAC’s performance well into the future,” said Lorraine Lafrenière, Chief Executive Officer of the Coaching Association of Canada. “Sudeshna’s lived experiences and commitment to values-based leadership align with the CAC’s strategic goals and aspirational values.” 

Sudeshna, an executive and strategic leader, has led multiple facets of operations with her entrepreneurial mindset and hybrid background. Throughout her career within prestigious companies, Sudeshna has a proven record of success in creating and executing operational, organizational, and digital transformation. 

From the University of North Bengal to the University of Oxford, Sudeshna graduated first in her class in every master’s degree and diploma she received, an endeavor that reflects on her career and her professional achievements. Holding her first master’s degree in Immunology and Cytogenetics, Sudeshna started her career with a Fortune 500 company as Assistant Manager. By the time she moved on to her next challenge, she was Vice President for Southwest Asia. 

Her most recent position as COO at a food production company took her into another dimension of operations. Over the past three years, Sudeshna was awarded the Artemis CEA Award (North America) for her exceptional contribution to Health and Safety (2021).  

“I am thrilled and excited to join the CAC team and serve sports in Canada as a contributing member,” says Sudeshna. “I am honoured to be part of the evolving sports community, and I wish to serve with empathy, agility and by embracing the CAC’s vision.”
