Who needs this Training?

  • Any coach requiring NCCP trained status will require the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Training.  Coaches seeking certified status will also require the  NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation.  Please contact your sport if you have any questions about your requirements.  

What recognition will I receive after completing the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Training?

  • After completing the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Training, coaches will be credited with the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions module. Furthermore, the workshop is a professional development module that allows NCCP certified coaches to earn five (5) professional development points towards their NCCP Maintenance of Certification.

Do I need to complete the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Training before taking the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation?

  • Coaches may challenge the  NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation, which means they do not need to take the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Training
  • However, the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation is only free for those who complete the training and have it listed on their NCCP transcript.  A fee of $85 will apply for coaches who have not taken the training and choose to go directly to the evaluation.  
  • Coaches that choose to challenge the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation will also be limited to two (2) attempts at passing the evaluation.  If, after two (2) attempts coaches have not received a passing grade, they will need to register for the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training. 
  • The NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation is FREE for those who have completed the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Training.  Once the training is added to your Locker transcript, you will be able to access the evaluation for FREE in the eLearning page of the Locker.

Do I need to complete NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation in order to be a certified coach?

  • Yes. Coaches must successfully complete their sport’s pathway evaluation components as well as successfully complete the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation for certification in any NCCP program.

  • A fee of $85 will apply to those who choose to complete the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation without first taking the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training.
  • Please note that there are no refunds issued for those who have paid for the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation and then choose to complete the workshop afterwards.

How many times can I attempt to complete the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation?

  • Once you have completed the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training, and it appears on your transcript, you will have unlimited attempts at the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation.
  • If you choose to proceed directly to the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation without taking the training, you will have two (2) attempts at passing the evaluation. If, after two (2) attempts, you have not received a passing grade of 75%, you will need to register for NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training. Please note that you are not eligible to receive a refund for the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation. 

How does the updated NCCP Code of Ethics affect me?

  • Coaches who completed the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Training before April 1, 2020 should refer to the updated version of the NCCP Code of Ethics while completing the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation. You can download the updated version here.
