The Coaching Association of Canada would like to acknowledge and congratulate all the coaches, National Sport Organizations and teams representing Canada at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England from July 28 – August 8, 2022.
About the Commonwealth Games
Held every four years, the Games have grown from featuring 11 countries and 400 athletes, to a global event hosting 4,600 sports participants from across 72 nations and territories.
Canada’s own Chantal Petitclerc became the first gold medal winner in a para-sport in 2002, marking the first time an event for an athlete with a disability had been part of the official programme.
