Theme announced for SLS22 in Ottawa
The CAC is pleased to announce the theme for the 2022 Petro-CanadaTM Sport Leadership sportif conference (SLS): A Tribute to Perseverance.
Over the past two years, we have witnessed incredible demonstrations of resilience, courage, and empathy within the world of sport. Sport has been a vital part of the recovery plan in Canada as we navigated the return to normalcy after disruption, and it continues to be a source of connection and healing for so many people across the country.
The 2022 Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference is a time to recognize the loss and adversity we have faced, to commemorate how far we’ve come, and to celebrate the opportunities that lie before us. The conference theme this year honours the perseverance at the heart of this journey, as it requires great dedication and passion to continue to drive sport forward.
As we come together in person once again, we will continue to create new connections and find new ways to collaborate. To learn from each other and develop a community built on interpersonal support. To explore the strategies that have guided us here and those that will propel us forward.

Through a series of engaging keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities, delegates will be motivated to work together to shape the future of the sport system in Canada. This is your opportunity to contribute your expertise and experience to demonstrate the power of positive sport and the dedication required to realize our full potential.
