There is nothing quite like the thrill and the satisfaction of watching a person take their first rowing stroke and feeling the boat move beneath them as a result.

As a Learn to Row Instructor you will have the privilege of taking an athlete that has never tried rowing on a journey that will give them the opportunity to love the sport as much as you do.

The NCCP Learn to Row (LTR) Instructor workshop is an ideal place to begin your coaching career, or to expand your current coaching knowledge.

This 1.5 day workshop, led by experienced LTR instructors, will provide you with the confidence to run a safe and quality program that introduces beginners of all ages to the sport.

Not only does this workshop provide you with 12 lesson plans to use or adapt for your own program, but it also introduces drills, and how to set up equipment, to ensure a comfortable, injury-free, rowing experience.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS WORKSHOP?

Anyone with experience rowing at the high school, club, or university level with basic rowing technical knowledge and who wants to instruct new rowers.

WHO WOULD YOU COACH?

You would coach individuals with no previous rowing experience who are in the Learn to Train stage of LTAD. Athlete ages could range from 10 years old to 65, depending on the type of program. Programs could be for youth, kids camps, university students, and/or adults taking a Learn to Row course.
